Why do they DO this?

Thu Dec 3, 2009, 7:55 PM
Why do some people think it's okay to disregard the past? I'm friends with this girl for almost a year, find out she's lied about the most ludicrous stuff ever, then after I've, in my naivete, convinced myself she can't help and she's a good friend deep down, she drops me and all our other friends like last week's garbage.
So no big deal right? I mean, yeah, we're not friends and she won't get off her gossip-train, but after a week or two I don't care.
Present:
She now speaks to me and all my other friends. Oh, except for the girl who's only been my best friend since 5th grade (snickers in the back for those who caught the sarcasm!). First, she begs her old best fiend to be her friend again because she misses her (my friend M now deals with it at family things because she is 10x sweeter than me). Then, she hugs my other friend E announcing "Love ya! I don't hate anyone except T!". Finally, I say it's not cold in english and she goes, all laughing, "Mia, it 39 degrees out. That means frost." Yes, thank you I actually know what cold water turns into.
She behaves to me and my other friends like we were never stopped hanging out and...I dunno talking about guys or dancing to the police or whatever we did. Suddenly, it's like we're just old friends she hadn't really hung out with for a long time (like before Valentine's Day).

So tell me, O Goddess of Psychotic Teen Behavior. WHY?

One last point. She gets to me. Have you ever had a person like that? No matter what they do, you're ind of fascinated because you just didn't know people could act like that and hide it enough to have friends. And, yeah if I hadn't known her so long I'd think she was just trying to bury the hatchet but I witnessed too many ridiculous fights from her end. I wish I could just release myself of this high school drama. I just want to take my classes, hang out with friends and go to college, for christ's sake!

deviantID

High school student.
I'm a music junkie, new or old.
I get anxious reorganizing my closet.
I like doing laundry and sitting at parks.
I have friends, I have girls who hate me.
I am single and simultaneously content and lonely.
And I am probably not very interesting at the moment.
Go listen to "Walking After MIdnight" (Patsy Kline) and then "Situations" (Escape the Fate) and maybe you'll grab some insight. And do "Bad Reputation"(I shudn't have to say but Joan Jett) for good measure.
